Drag-and-drop

Post by *whytea »

This is a bit hard to explain. Let's set the scene of the situation.

In one of the panels, say right panel, only the folders are visible.

Q: How do we drag-and-drop a file from the left panel into the parent directory on the right?
A: Drop the file on to the top or bottom status bar of the right panel.

Q: What happens if TotalCmd is NOT the active window and you want to drag-and-drop from another application? The method above doesn't work!

I'm not sure, that i understood you right: Parent or Current directory?
Parent: Drop at [..]?

Drop at the scrollbar of the panel.

I am also a litte bit puzzled about how this is supposed to work. The only solution I could come up with is to drag the files onto the scrollbar and it will copy fine. I don't know if there's a better method to copy files via drag'n'drop from external sources though.
