Suggest to add a two additional options in TC Configuration Misc. Dialogue. It should be possible to select or deselect having to confirm regarding:
1. Deleting/overwriting hidden/system files when copying or moving.
2. Copying/Moving files with file names longer than 256 characters.
As it works today these the above confirmations are always asked for during the copying/moving proves when they occur, so when copying/moving a larger amount of data the process becomes suddenly halted waiting for confirmation, which makes unattended copying/moving often to stop.
Most people are today working in a computer environment accepting long file names without any problems, also when copying or moving to external discs or other partitions.
Would appreciate this change to be implemented already in the new v8.

Disagree. Most standard programs (Explorer too) can't handle such long paths.Most people are today working in a computer environment accepting long file names without any problems,

During file operations, warn if target name is longer than 259 characters:
0=always
1=never
2=if source name isn't longer than 259 characters
3=disallow long names

I am not a power computer expert so you are surly right in your comment about the path length, however most extremely long file names/paths are e.g. due to saved web pages and I do not generally experience any problems opening them, including after copying/moving them (after allowing TC to do so).
Thanks for the ini tip. Will try use it as intermediate solution for that part of my problem.
Still think it would be good to be able to select the two additional options suggested in the Options dialogue. I am a basic corporate computer user and not a user normally directly editing configuration files and the registry for changing software options.

I would like this to be automatically turned on as well. If i move a directory from one place to another, i don't see why i would need for the hidden files which often end up being just thumbs.db files to not be moved with the directory.
I recently copied loads of data 2tb, on to external drives. I had to frequently check the status of the copying because if often stopped on thumbs.db files which i end up deleting anyway because i don't even use them.
