Thank you for the excellent software.
When doing an FTP connection, the connection to get the file list or to download a file waits only several seconds, then gives a blank screen if no reply received.
I am using an embedded control system (Nat.Instuments cRIO) and am using Total Commander to manage the recordings on the cRIO. While there are only a few recordings on the cRIO, FTP works fine. However, when the filecount reaches around 750 files, 500M, in a single directory, it takes the cRIO so long to send back the file list that Total Commander times out and gives only a blank screen. It works with Windows Filemanager FTP, but I do not like it, Total Commander is MUCH better.
Is there any chance of making the file list time-out longer or user-settable?
Thanks
Paul

There is indeed a 20 seconds timeout, which can be increased here:

Could that also be the problem I get when uploading php files to upgrade my site? Sometimes it will be upoloading and then just stop and after a bit, give me the reconncet error window. But it works fine in and FTP prohram (Filezilla, etc.) If so, what is a good setting? 15?
chmod a+x /bin/laden -- Allows anyone the permission to execute /bin/laden

No, this only affects downloads, uploads are not affected.

Thank you very much for everyone that replied.
I have changed my FTP configuration as follows:
Auto-resume transfer if no data received for: 500s
Also:
Number of times to retry if FTP server busy: 999
Delay between retries: 5s (I also tried 10s)
Yet, I still have the same problem.
When I FTP connect to my embedded system everything works fine to see the root directory.
When I double-click on the data directory with the many files, the LIST command is issued, and a Total Commander window comes up stating:
LIST Get Directory.
This lasts for 10s.
The message box then disappears after 10s, and the file window is left totally blank.
If I now try clik .. to go back to the root directory, a dialogue box comes up stating: Connection lost, reconnect? (Y/N)
If I do the same using Windows Explorer, it takes 22s from double-clicking on the data subfolder icon until the list of files is displayed.
Thanks and best regards

FTP Directory List Timeout
Same problem here – also with the instrument, but this time with Yokogawa oscilloscope. It takes more than 20 seconds for scope to return the directory listing when there are a lot of files. The timeout of 20 seconds is just too short and I get a blank list. For now I’m forced to use FileZilla which has an adjustable timeout.
Please make this timeout adjustable in TC.
Thanks
