There is a new E check box under renamer, which means replace on the extension yes/no.
Now, lets say we have this file
xxxx123xxxx.123
If the E is checked, and I tell to replace 123 with ABC, I get this
xxxxABCxxxx.abc
Now, if it is NOT checked, I get this:
xxxxABCxxxx.123
BUT, if I tell to replalce 123* with ABC, and is not checked, I get
xxxxABCxxxx
Instead of
xxxxABC.123

Not confirmed.
Here is what I tried:
1. Search for: 123*
2. Replace by: ABC
[E] checked:
xxxx123xxxx.123 -> xxxxABC
[E] not checked:
xxxx123xxxx.123 -> xxxxABC.123
Maybe the characters which you replaced by xxxx are relevant?
