Multi-copy suggenstion ?

Post by *Quaid »

Hi all !
Recently I've got to copy the same group of files ( in source panel ) to a lot of different directory ( in target panel ).
The only mode I found is to select source and enter one by one the target directory.
May be I don't know how to do it, or may be doesn't exist this option.

If doesn't, what do you think to add a multi-copy-to-target option on F5 function ?

Thanks.

Select all folders in a target panel to copy files to, press F5, click 'Options >>' and check option 'Copy to all selected folders/links in a target panel'.

If target folders are in different folders, you can create filelist of folders, press Alt+F7, enter * in 'search for' and @c:\list.txt as 'search in' (type @ and a path to created folder list). Then choose 'search in current dir only' and click Start. TC will show all folders from folder list, click 'feed to listbox' and select all of them. Now you can copy files from another panel using same option 'Copy to all selected folders/links in a target panel'.

In this case "c:\list.txt" must exist before ?
If I select * in 'search for' and something like @c:\list.txt as 'search in'
list.txt is not created... TC say error path not found.

Quaid, you should have list of folders to copy to, or how TC will know it? :) Search dialog is used here just for displaying all folders from list in a panel, and of course you should have this list created before using search.
