I'm not sure if it's a design decision but from my point of view it as a bug, since there's an inconsistency in the way similar things work.
Win7x64, in both 8.22b and TC7.57a (and i suspect in earlier versions too). When viewing a large image (with "fit image" mode turned off) either in lister or in quickview mode, when using the arrow keys on the keyboard, the vertical scrollbar progresses slowly but the horizontal jumps in large steps. IMO there should be a progressive change when just the arrow keys are pressed and a larger change when CTRL is used in conjunction with the arrow keys.

Normally using latest TC on:
x32: WinXPx32 SP3 (very rarely nowadays).
x64: Clients/Servers - Win10/Win11 and Win2K16 to Win2K22, mainly Win10 though.

This is intentional. Why? While there are two ways to scroll vertically, slow (cursor keys) and fast (PageUp/Down), there is only one method horizonally (Left/Right). That's why I have to use larger steps sideways, otherwise you would have to scroll forever with the cursor keys...
