I'm using TCv8b23 on Windows 7 64bit.
I mistakenly inserted a copied text containing the " symbol which normally is not supported for filenames.
TC returns a message reporting that the file is write protected which not true.
If I click Cancel not change take place which is the expected.
If I click Ok I'm given a second chance for renaming via a dialog box and not in place. Also the expected behavior I presume.
Maybe the error message cannot be altered since this could be how the OS advice the inability hence TC cannot acknowledge the true problem (an improper character in the file name and not a write protection per se).
I just thought of mentioning this in case TC has control over the message.
Thank you!

"My only reason for still using M$ Window$ as an OS is the existence of Total Commander!"
Christian Ghisler Rules!!!
Christian Ghisler Rules!!!
thats why you have alternative language files.
In the .lng-file edit "65=" to your likings
in german its "65="Fehler: Kann %s\rnicht schreiben!\rDer Dateiname enthält ungültige Zeichen, ODER :\rEntfernen Sie den eventuell vorhandenen Schreibschutz!""
AFAIK there were some threads about this allready but all I remember was that TC only get the message that he cant create the file not the reason why not.
