Setting the Total Commander to automatically upload files to

may be somewhere in Total Commander to set the automatic upload edited files on FTP? Maybe in some interval or something? for example, every minute? Very relieved I would not work and above all save time.

This is actually implemented.

If you open a text file on FTP with F4 and change it, upon closing the Editor TC will ask you if it should update the file on server.

But thats it... I've never seen an interval-based update mechanism.
But maybe someone else can confirm.

No, it's not. TC can upload the edited file back, but with the best will in the world I cannot call it "automatically". To reupload the edited file you need to:
1) close the edited file;
2) switch to TC;
3) if the editor was MDI, press the "Close" button in the waiting dialog;
4) agree to TC's request to upload the file;
5) confirm overwriting of the old file.

All this makes it impossible to perform any kind of serious work with the remote file. Too many steps to perform each time, waste of time, plus closing and reopening the file completely ruins all your Undo/Redo history. All this has been reported many times, but currently no solution exists. Use other FTP clients if you need this, or mount the FTP locally (by using tools like FTPDrive or WebDrive), or simply upload the edited file manually when you need to.

Sure. Its nothing of great convienience.

I can recommend Notepad++ - it can edit files from ftp. Works good enough for me
