Found the driver for the other card you have, but still no Windows 3.11 support.

Creative Labs Graphics Blaster RIVA128ZX
You can get them here if you need them in the future. The drivers are for Windows 95 to XP. Release date: 23 May 03.

I have no clue why it does that nasty thing under Windows 3.11, also I don't know is Mr. Ghisler will make any revisions to the old 6.xx series. If that's the case, this problem will never be solved. We nearly everything, and the only solution is another graphics card. Or maybe you should try with the default Microsoft drivers if you would like to use Total Commander under Windows 3.11.

My other suggestion would be is dualboot with Windows 98SE, or just completely ditching Windows 3.11 and using 98SE. Most of the MS-DOS games and applications are still compatible with that.

Also If you have a copy of Norton Commander for Windows. I have a copy of that one, that came on 3 diskettes I think, but I used it for a very short period of time along Windows Commander. The last version is v2.01 I think, but I need to check it. It's in my closed somethere where most of my boxed stuffs are.

Yes it's a shame that the nv drivers seem to do that with TC... the "almost" good news is that TC5.x does not show these errors so I can end up using these versions...

I already dual-boot dos and 98SE for my old programs and gaming (still got a LAPC-I installed!) and I have tried many many vgas... I found that riva128 ones are VERY compatible vga chips even with ancient 1988 software. And they work fine in 9x too, so it's a killer combo in my book. Maybe the 3.11+TC6x problems are a combination of things as someone said before, all are working fine on their own and fail in co-operation.
I am more of a hardware guy and have no real clues what could cause those co-op problems , I just make assumptions. Maybe ghisler replies and tell us what are the plans (if any that is...)

After 2 days of testing I have confirmed that the problems were caused by the nvidia 3.11 drivers.
A word of caution to anyone out there don't use an agp/pci tnt or riva128 card for win3.11 as the driver is causing issues. Drivers for win9x are fine but the 3.11 ones are super-alpha ones at best.

Id say something like TC16Bit plus Riva TNT Driver on Win3.11 = Bug or something along the line but as white pointed out it doesnt really matter as most people sadly dont use the search anyway...

I liked the first one better, because people will search on the symptoms not on the solution.
