Removable (USB) drive tab

Post by *Gil Carrick »

When a removable drive is inserted, a new drive letter is typically assigned. If the drive icon is clicked, a new tab is opened. If the removable drive is removed, the tab stays open. If the tab for that drive is clicked, the "Drive Not Found" modal dialog box is displayed. This necessitates responding to the dialog box.

It would seem that a smoother operation would be for the program to close any tabs relating to a drive that is removed or ejected.

Interestiong idea, but...
At first check your config:   configuration -> operation -> refresh -> "no refresh for these drives" (both fields - upper and lower)
Ukrainian Total Commander Translator. Feedback and discuss.

Oh please don't, all the tabs I have open to my most used dirs on my removable hard drive would be lost!

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

I think it would be better to add an option to switch dir to e.g. C:\ w/o showing drive select dialog, or simply show empty panel (maybe one parameter with different modes). I would prefer second one (show just blank panel).
