Tagging files/filespec with the numpad plus key

Post by *foxidrive »

This is related to GUI behavior.

Should TC V8.0 32 bit remember the filespec you type in when you press plus on the numpad to tag a selection of files?

If I type in *.exe and no *.exe files exist then TC defaults back to *.* when I open the next folder to check for the same filespec.

Should it remember the filespec ala Norton Commander no matter what you type?

Thanks for considering this request.

Please describe things better, not all people read your previous topic.

So,
1. Go to folder with *.txt files,
2. Press Num+ and enter *.txt mask, click OK.
3. Press Num+ again, *.txt now is suggested by default.
1. Open a folder without *.exe files.
2. Press Num+ and enter *.exe mask, click OK.
3. Press Num+ again, *.txt is still suggested by default, not *.exe.

So, there are cases:
1. Remember last successfully applied selection mask (current behaviour).
2. Remember every last selection mask (suggested one).

I wote for no 2.
