Pause button in CRC checking dialog

Post by *wanderer »

I'm almost certain it has been asked before but please add a Pause button in CRC checking dialog. It seems it's the only dialog that it's missing from and sometimes it's badly needed.

Thanks.

Normally using latest TC on:
x32: WinXPx32 SP3 (very rarely nowadays).
x64: Clients/Servers - Win10/Win11 and Win2K16 to Win2K22, mainly Win10 though.

Why would anyone need it in any other place in TC? ;)

Try to check several CRCs to a total of 500MBs and during that, try copying in parallel a 100MBs file from the same drive as the CRCs... :) Now, imagine if we're talking about a flash drive or an external USB drive. Why not have the option to pause the CRCs, let the copy finish and then continue?

You can just press the Cancel button. There will be a dialog showing "Cancelled" or so. When you click "Cancel" there, you cancel the cancelling and continue the CRC check.

Well, that's acceptable as a workaround but i hope at some point it gets done properly, as in other dialogs.

Thank you.
