Some tabs may point to locations that do not exist any more. For example, if a DVD is ejected and a tab with a folder on that DVD is not in focus, this tab still references the DVD. If an FTP conection is closed and the tab is not in focus, it still points to the remote server and TC attempts to reconnect when the tab is focused, if a machine that hosts a network share referenced by a tab is shutdown, the tab still references the share, and so on.
In all cases including DVD, it is possible to imagine scenarios when this is a valuable feature and in other scenarios it should be easy to close such tabs.
However, when a double click is used to close a tab, TC first attempts to reread its contents, displays dialogs, and closes after that.
Suggestion: either do not attempt to reread the tab contents on double click or close any dialogs when it is clear that the tab is being closed.
Just close tabs on double click
