If I press Ctrl+S, I lose my selection w/o possibility to recover it (cm_RestoreSelection doesn't work).

Actually the selection is preserved, but only of the files which remain visible. I had considered to keep the selection of the hidden items too, but found it too risky (e.g. you see that one file is selected, try to delete it, and some hidden files get deleted too).

Unfortunately I see that selection is completely lost even when I don't type anything in quick filter window. Every time I press Ctrl+S (w/o typing anything into search field), TC kills selection.
Tested it again, with clean INI, sometimes selection remains but if I press Ctrl+S again (twice), TC kills it anyway. It would be nice to leave visible files selected (as you wrote) after playing with filter.

Ah, you mean the second Ctrl+S to toggle the filter! Yes, it removes the selection.
