Total Commander uses the Explorer window..

Post by *klappa »

Instead of the built in one. It happens more or less frequently. It's quite irritating, how can i change to the internal one permanently?

Thanks!

WHAT :?:

I suggest the only way to get rid of the explorer is to switch to Linux...

Sorry forgot to mention when you copy or move files a window usually shows up but it isn't the TC window but the normal Explorer window. Why is that?

Which window? Please make a screenshot and post link in text form (like bla.bla.com/1.png) or in [code] tag.

Is there a chance you have selected Explorer copy method?
Configuration -> Operation -> Copy/Delete -> Use copy+paste via Explorer?

Could you post link to screenshot of your Copy/Delete settings?

Nope it's not checked. The Explorer window shows up more or less frequently when using TC instead of the internal one.

I don't know why, could be a bug?

This happens if you copy files to or from virtual folder like \\Desktop or \\Documents.
Solution:
Don't use virtual folders, use the real path of your personal desktop instead.

e.g. cd %$DESKTOP%
or cd %$PERSONAL%

You can find a reference with all so called "Pseudo environment variables" on this page:

christianh,
Or perhaps you use Ctrl-C / Ctrl-V to copy.

Roman
Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
