copy the fullname of the file opened in current Lister wind?

Post by *leopoldus »

Hi

Is there any option to get copied into the clipboard the fullname of the file, which is opened in the current window of Lister? (Yes, this line of text shown in the Lister window title bar.)

Thanks!

this is not the final solution i guess, but if you copy+paste the text below on your button bar
TOTALCMD#BAR#DATA
cm_CopyNetNamesToClip

WCMICONS.DLL,52
Copy UNC Paths to Clipboard

2021
you can copy the full path of the file you selected in the active panel.

maybe this already helps.

EDIT: if you only want the file name witout path
TOTALCMD#BAR#DATA
cm_CopyNamesToClip

WCMICONS.DLL,52
Copy UNC Paths to Clipboard

This script needs installing PowerPro and the whole solution seems to be a bit complicated. Do you mean, that there is no any TC-native solution without using external tools?

BTW, about PowerPro. I've heard of it before, but never tried to use. Suppose, if I wish to use your script(s), do I need pass any necessary configurating steps or a beginner can start using you ready script immediately from the box without any preparations? Sorry for this off-topic in this thread, but I wished to ask it for a long time,

Thank you for your solutions, but I'm afraid you missed the most important part of my question ;) I need to get the fullname of the file currently opened in Lister window.

I've read now this page quite carefully, thanks.
There are mush interesting information and details. However I'm afraid, that it does not offer answer to any of my beginner general questions. Or I'm not actually able to understand these answers, if they are there on FAQ page :(

(BTW the link in the 1.st answer on your FAQ page is broken, correct link should perhaps be http://powerpro.cresadu.com/index.html )
