Bug?: Directory Hotlist + two (2) mnemonics

Post by *seb- »

Using Total Commander 8.0 final + Windows 7 (reproducible on windows XP as well).

Hi,

i'm using Directory hotlist (CTRL+D) with extensive submenu usage + mnemonics.

E.g. i name my items with "&1" to access them with pressing 1 etc.

I just tried to give one entry two mnemonics

&7 Do&wnloads

to be able to access the download directory by pressing 7 or W.

I didnt really expect it to work but wanted to try.

However the result was a bit surprising

the Menu doesn't look like

7 Downloads

but it looks like this

7 Downloads

BUT: a press on W-key doesn't work! a press on 7-key works!

SO the result is, when using double Mnemonics, the first one will be the key that accesses the control and the second one shows the underline highlhight.

Is this a windows limitation or can this be fixed within TC?

You cannot give it two mnemonics, Windows does not support it (I'm using a standard Windows menu).
