Google Drive plugin is on the way...

tanks for the log-in info, perhaps when tc closes the token should be removed from the ini file, as now anybody with access to your tc (or tc ini files) can get access to your google drive.

Having problems with this plugin, well I can't get it to work it starts find but doesn't do any file operations (although the only files I have are ones that google automatically moved to my drive as they wore email attachments), when I try to view or copy a file tc crashes with this error

I think the problem maybe IEShims.dll as I'm using XP and this dll needs Vista+ to load, can anyone get this pluging working under XP or I should stop trying.
btw using tc 8.01 32bit under XP-SP3

edit I can copy/view new files, the plugin crashes only with old converted gmail attachments, don't know why?
btw is the file IEShims.dll needed as it is present on Win7/Vista systems with ie9 and it doesn't load on XP?
ps.
I have bts disabled (I prefer to manually update my machine and the only service that used bts was automatic updates) could this be the problem, does this plugin use the background transfer service?

Regarding statically linking QT, the original QT license for windows forbid the use of visual studio, you could only use mingw with the free QT, but as trolltech was sold to nokia the licensing was changed so now the free version can be used with Visual Studio, there was no issue about dynamic or static linking the issue was the compiler used

I tested this plugin on Win7 (32bit) and XP, worked ok for me.
Can you better explain how can I reproduce your crash? Are regular files you copy to/from GD are copied ok?

As I didn't really use google drive the only files I had wore pdf and doc email attachments that google automatically moved (first to google docs then) to google drive, it might be a permission issue as I just tested that I can access those files from google drive with a browser.
The plugin works with new files (copy/view/delete) so I don't get it.
To reproduce (I'm not sure its still works as those wore older emails) send an email with a pdf or doc attachment (you can send it to yourself), go to gmail with a browser and view your attachment, click save in google docs google copies this attachment to your google drive, try to access this file (view F3 or copy F5) the plugin hangs and then tc crashes

just tried this with a new pdf file and the plugin crashes when trying to view/copy that file, it's probably a permission issue.

The problem is with permissions. It seems that Google gives access to files that were uploaded using specific application. In other words: if you uploaded files through my plugin it will be available to the this plugin. If files were uploaded through other application (or directly through Google) - TC will not be able to download it......

I am investigating it deeper.....

but still can't access files imported from google docs

You are probably right - it is very strange:
Previous version was able to access files uploaded through the plugin (Google Application) only. Now I am asking for permission to access all files. It is able to access files uploaded through the browser, but it is still crashes when accessing files from Gmail. The fact is that I can't see any different attributes between those files (checking them through browser)....

Well I'll try to investigate it more....

I'll create a listing at the correct forum....
