While I appreciate the desire to have this. There are so many general usability improvements and other suggestions that would improve TC significantly, and they would be features that you would use far more often than this.

10 years ago I would have loved this feature, but I really wonder. Is anyone using the burner often these days?

For me all CD/DVD's are allmost out of the picture.
Recently I've thrown away all my music CD's and replaced them with MP3. For DVD's, streaming movies from harddisk is very popular these days.

For backups removeable harddisks are so much easier with the filesizes of backups.

i agree with silencer, maybe in 2003 i was into the cd / dvd backup... now i barely use it. Heck even i can't recall when my dvd drive made noise ... maybe i should check it now : )

no rush for this anymore.

Not often, but solely in my office to burn selections of my data. I don't need it for full backups, but the file-search-and-selecting feature of TC are irreplaceable for this job.

I just did. TC 8.01 suddenly crashed in the middle the writing process with the standard Win problem dialog (Debug or Close). Surprisingly the writing process continued so I did not close this dialog. Even better the writing succeeded and the CD was ejected. I then clicked the Debug button and TC was finally gone. But new CD-W is without errors. Not too bad.
By the way: There is a 64bit FoxBurner library available. Any chance for an update?
