Can I customize status bar ?

Can I customize status bar, so I can put different variables and strings according to my wishes? Something like in SpeedCommander ?

Sorry guys for asking so many questions, but our requirements matrix contains all these points.

You can't do such thing with TC.
However TC shows number of selected files/folders by default when you have selection. Also there is a drive combobox panel that shows total/free space for current drive.
