Troubles with Total Commander and Mbox files. Help me please

Post by *NikitaB »

After putting a new version on my laptop (Windows 7) TC does not work an more with Mbx files. I have used version 8,01 32 and 64 bit and also 8,50 beta version, but with all versions I have the same problem.

Now I installed again version 8.01 32 and tried to install Mbox on it. However, I now cannot even install Mbox version 1,10 as TC tells me that:

An exception (0000005) occurred during DllEntryPoint or DllMain in module: C:\Program Files (x86)\UTIL\TotalCMD\plugins\wcx\mbpx\mbox.wcx

Then the message appears:

This is not a valid plug-in! and where they can be found

After that you have to cancel the installation.

From Mr. Lüthje I learned that mbox requires that on my PC Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is switched OFF for Total Commander. So I changed that with no result.

Who knows what the problem might be?

With kind regards,

I would not use tools which require "Data Execution Prevention (DEP)" to be off.
This allows viruses and other malware to generate executable code which is hard to detect by Anti virus programs.

But it installs without problems on my TC 8.50b3 under Windows 7 x64 Ultimate.
Of course you have to use the TC 32bit version.
