Hi All,
I have been for the long time looking for the Mac OSX alternative to TC. Nothing comes close, I have tried them all, really. Except for DCommander, because they have no trial version at all. I was thinking on taking a gamble and trying it, but I would love to here an unbiased feedback from anyone who has tried it before.
My main concern is that it's only available through the Mac Appstore, and I know that Appstore does not allow apps to ask for admin rights any more, so I am not sure if that program actually works as a proper file manager, or is it something that I can use to only manage files inside my home directory, or something like that.
If you have any experiance, please give me some feed back.

Has anyone tried DCommander?

Have you looked at Double Commander? Which at least has compatibility with some of TC's plugin-types.
Maybe it's not common in the Mac-software-world... but I would be wary of buying most any program that doesn't have a forum. There's been a few exceptions (obviously) not often though.
