Hide name and extension columns?

Hi,

is it posible to hide name and ext columns in "Custom columns" definition? If I set size for these columns to 0, then icons and extension are showed over next column text.

Not possible

Many time asked for a real column management with ability to hide/show column but never offered. M. Ghisler said Name is also used for icon and because Name+ext is used as index or whatsoever....

The only alternative is to reduce size of column but not masking it really

maybe we can ask mr. Ghisler to possibility of changing text color in these columns to same color as background?

Better ask for reducing their size to zero w/o overlapping with other columns.
