Issue: Internal Command Add/Edit button wrong icon

Post by *Axor »

When I add a button for internal commands, the wrong icon is added to the button bar. For example, the search function uses a generic yellow folder icon, exit uses the new folder icon, etc. Some of the functions use the correct icon like new folder.
I am running Android 2.2 on a LG LS670.

Strange, which version of Total Commander? The latest release version or the beta? I do not have this problem here on Android 2.2 (HTC desire).

Latest release, 2.02. Should I try the beta?

I think this issue can be blamed on a custom ROM. I reflashed to stock ROM and the issue isn't there. The custom ROM I was using is called 'Reborn ROM'. Not sure why it wouldn't work on this very stable and mature ROM, everything else works fine.

Is there a folder that contains the image files for the internal buttons that I can browse to and utilize?

Hmm, I don't think that a custom ROM can cause this. The button icons are stored inside the APK file, and are extracted to
/data/data/com.ghisler.android.TotalCommander/files
when adding a button to the bar. Maybe that catche got mangled somehow, e.g. by a backup/restore program?

I have verified this issue exists on 2.02, but not on 2.03:
I downloaded a fresh copy of 2.02 and 2.03 from your website.
I uninstalled my currently installed 2.02 with the icon issue.
I installed the fresh 2.02 copy, and tested, same icon issue.
I uninstalled 2.02, installed 2.03, tested, icon issue gone, add button icons work properly.
Just to verify, I uninstalled 2.03, installed 2.02 once more, tested, the icon issue persists. I then uninstalled 2.02, installed 2.03, tested, and icons work normally.
So I'll just stick with 2.03.
Thank you.
