Log in problem

Since about a week I am no longer able to log in for this forum with the user name and password that I had for many years. I asked for and got a new password, but that did not help either. I made a new account to be able to post this message. Has anyone any idea what can have happened, or how I can get back to my old account? I should be very grateful for any useful suggestion.

Delete all the cookies containing the Word 'ghisler'.
It worked for me.

Thank you very much! I am writing this from my problem account, so your advice evidently worked.

But how? What can be the cause? And did I loose anythning by deleting this one cookie containing the name Ghisler?

Sometimes I clear cookies too, usually I need to do it when I enter forum and see that I have been logged out.
