When I open a binary file in Lister (TC 8.50 32bit B 12), I press Ctrl+F (to find a text string), I type the text to search for and press OK, then I press F3 several times, so Lister highlights the found strings, but from the second match, it highlight text, but the highlighted text it is always 1 character offset to the right.
It only happens when I open Binary files (not plain text files).
I use Windows 7 x64.
Is it a bug or maybe a wrong setting?
Thanks in advance!

This can happen when the binary file contains some unprintable characters, right to left text etc. In this case, Lister may not be able to calculate the exact start position of the text. However, it should work when Uniscribe isn't disabled.

What is Uniscribe and how can it be enabled?
Maybe it is a problem with some unprintable characters, which they are some in these files.
I see the problem solved if I change the mode 2 (binary) to 7 ( UTF-8 ).
Is there a way to start Lister always, automatically, in UTF-8?
Or maybe an option which selects the right mode automatically?
Thanks!
