"Multi-Rename Tool:remember last saved settings
Hi all,
Perhaps I'm overlooking something but is it possible that Total Commander will "remember" which saved setting I've used for the last time. E.g. I've made a setting "add grandparent and parent to the filename". I would like that TC remembers that setting over sessions.
Thanks in advance,
Rien van Ham

That's not what I ment. I've made several settings and saved them under there own names. Let's say that I have two different settings "add grandparent and parent to the filename" and "remove grandparant and parent from the filename".
I would like that the MutriRenameTool, everytime TC starts, use the setting "add grandparent and parent to the filename".
Or did I miss something that I can set the "add grandparent and parent to the filename" as default?
Thanks in advance.

You can use the command:rienvanham wrote:I would like that the MutriRenameTool, everytime TC starts, use the setting "add grandparent and parent to the filename".
MULTIRENAME add grandparent and parent to the filename
You can use this command in button bar, menu, directory hotlist, custom command.
The custom command can also be used in alias or hotkey assignment.
MultiRenameLoadSettings=
Wouldn't Wincmd.ini setting MultiRenameLoadSettings= do what you want?
MultiRenameLoadSettings= Defines with what settings the multi-rename tool will start:
(empty): Start with last used settings (not remembered after closing)
Name: Load settings which were stored under the given name
Unknown name: Start with default settings

Can you change the thread title to something more clear like "Multi-Rename Tool:remember last saved settings"? (edit the thread's first post and change the subject)
