TC-8.01 and Winrar 5.01

There are some threads regarding new Winrar 5.01 and beta version of TC 8.5x.

Is there any way to unpack rar5-achives with TC-8.01?

Packing can be done by:
"C:\Program Files\WinRAR\WinRAR.exe" -m5 -t -ma5
in packer configuration.

Replacing the unrar.dll or deactivating "Use internal un-Rar" doesn't work.

7-Zip doesn't support Rar5 yet, so that only leaves a packer plugin like MultiArc. If you're lucky you'll find an ini for that.

I'm not quite sure if the internal TC packer recognition would still take precedence and throw an error...


You could just simply create a button pointing to Unrar.exe with parameters

Will TC-8.5x include full compatibility with WinRar-5.x?

Yes it will. Release Candidate 1 has just been published, and I hope to release the final version soon.
