When search results are displayed in a tab, and user presses Ctrl+\ hotkey or [ \ ] button, TC returns to the original directory where search was started. As for me, this behavior is counter-intuitive: I would expect TC to open the root directory (or, for the locked tabs, return to the base directory), like it does for this hotkey in all other cases.
For returning to the original search dir, there are F2 and Ctrl+R hotkeys, so there won't be reducing in functionality, but gaining it (as for now, there is no way to go to root from search results in one hotkey).
