Control Panel shortcut in drive pulldown list

Post by *nsirri »

I'm using TC on a PC with no admin rights, as i remember, some versions ago (8.5 Betas ?) in the drive pulldown menu (actually there's only "My Computer" and "Documents") was either a shortcut for "Control Panel", that is useful when start as Administrator to manage some options that as "user" i can't (if i run control.exe when in admin mode nothing appens).

Maybe there's some option to activate o it's been removed ?

I've searched across the forum but i didn't found nothing.

PS: Sorry for my [not well] english.

Well, "Control Panel" is not really in the drive pulldown menu, but near by ...
It is in the breadcrumb. The little triangle most left :)

Thanks for this tip, I wasn't aware, really useful.
I'm now looking for the best hotkey to map cm_SrcPathFocus.

I'm now looking for the best hotkey to map cm_SrcPathFocus.
ALT-F11 for the left panel
ALT-F12 for the right panel

I'm using those for copy names to clipboard.
It will probably be Alt+Shift+UpArrow, since i'm using Alt+up for edit path, so it is very close.

solid,
Alt+F11/F12 are default TC hotkeys for this function.

BTW I use Ctrl[+Shift]+G for copy names [with paths] to clipboard, pretty comfortable and close to standard fingers' placement.

MVV,
I noticed that those are default hotkeys, but i've been using them for copying file/pathnames long before. And old habits are difficult to change. Also I find alt+shift+up more natural than alt+f11/2.
I also have to remap alt+f7 in v8.50 for modal findfiles, since alt+shift+f7 is the hotkey i'm using to launch everything search.
