Dir space calculation (by SPACE/Alt+Shift+Enter) behaviour

I think, it could be very nice to make an option how the TC makes calculation:

DirSizeCalcBackground = 1 (def) - calculates in background, as it is now;
DirSizeCalcBackground = 0 - calculates in foreground and fast as it was in 7.50a

Sometimes i calc a lot of folders. It bacame very slow in background.
That couses me keep using old 7.50a version.

What is so importand about the size of a tree
for todays typical disk sizes of terabytes ?

For an real overview there are much better tools like WinDirStat
