What's happening with TC developement ?

Post by *MiloW »

So this is the end of development of TC?

There is SO MUCH to do. First of all - the GUI, and UX, and all the stuff to take from 1990s to the present times.

Or have I missed something?

Why are you so eager? It hasn't been a year since the last version and you already suspect TC to be dead? It's not like TC gets a new "major" version every few weeks, like it is so fashionable these days.

About some UI changes - yes, they are required, but it's an old, long-standing request, so don't hold your breath yet.

And while I can't speak for the author, from a few posts I've seen, I'm guessing we might see a first beta in coming weeks. But that's just my guess.

If you have nothing to say - don't say anything.
Trolling in a topic of development is lame thing to do.
Fanboyism too is not a good thing.

I imagine a kind of change, upgrade of TC (9.0? "TC X"?) just like Outlook Express changed to Outlook 2013. That would be awesome.

You can't deny development. You either go further or you stay in the back, and the world goes further - you stay further back.

No, TC developement is of course not dead. I just don't release a mini update very few weeks as this is done with some apps (and which I personally find very annoying). There are indeed some UI improvements, especially for high DPI devices, but not a revolution.

I'm thinking... why hasn't it been implemented that scrolling with CTRL inside pane changes the type of visibility (Full / Short / Thumbs / etc.)?

I was writing about such things when I asked you people why aren't you improving TC.

TC seems ancient now.

There are hotkey for this and only you misses that feature.
If you don't like TC just stop using it
and use whatever modern tool you like.

Wow, what a great attitude... OMG man... really, grow up.

And my answer to some "hot keys" is - don't make your own hot keys for things which are already present in the system. I'm yearning for some modern (well - they've been in Windows since XP or at least Vista) stuff put into TC.

I bought the program, I have every right to post wishes and ideas.
If not, write it openly, I will share your attitude with the whole freaking internet.

TC seems ancient now.
Is that a wish or an idea? ;-)

Please do not tell us how the world was made, post exact and clear suggestions, your 'TC seems ancient' or 'First of all - the GUI, and UX' have absolutely no meaning for everyone except you. Everyone has its own feeling of modern and useful design.

2MiloW so when will you develop something more modern than this old outdated TC?
When will you implement this Cloud addon for TC I've been requesting for years? I said I would pay 10 bucks for it
What tool have you delivered to me these last 10 years?
There will always be guys who complain without writing a single line of code ;)

Anyway good to hear from 2ghisler(Author) that devs are ongoing, good to know the software is supported and bugs are fixed.

Looking forward to it and thanks again for TC that has been up for so long, helping us daily in our files management

Almost a year since the last version released, any news for the new version?

A bug fixed version(like 8.52) is good enough to me. :p
