Any HPLX Users having connection issues?

Post by *kbellis »

Pavel's plugin for the HP200LX has been working flawlessly in 32-bit TC for quite some on my Win7 64-bit PC ... until today. I'm pulling my hair out trying to think why, trouble shooting the obvious things like cables, COM port setting, HPLX plugin settings etc. - no easy answers to the problem and why TC refuses to connect. I even installed 7.56a (in its own folder) and a fresh download of Pavel's plugin and it had the same problem.

Has anybody that's using TC + the HPLX plugin experienced issues?

The last time I ran TC in late January 2014, everything worked normal.

Thank you for any ideas or comments.

Forget I said anything. Turns out the COM port is likely the issue as switching from the serial port off the MB to a fake serial-via-USB worked - YEAH!!

Help!

Post by *jmadd »

My old HP 200LX lost its brains and I need to reconnect with my dusty cable into my laptop - I can't seem to get the port activated on the laptop - any help would be appreciated!

What do you mean with this? Do you get an error that the port is in use?

well, I'm using an HP docking station and can't find a way of accessing the serial port on the back. I downloaded and installed the add-in but I can't find network neighborhood. Perhaps if I took the time to read the instructions I could manage this but being a male engineer, I'm not used to reading instructions. :)

Get an USB to serial converter, they are very cheap and work well.
I can't find network neighborhood.
Alt+F1, then open drive "\".
