How to see online-only files from OneDrive?

Post by *korg250 »

Hi.

Is there any way for Total Commander to list the online-only files of OneDrive - as it is shown on File Explorer?

I am on Windows 8.1 Pro with Total Comander 8.51a.

Thanks.

The online only files have the "hidden" and "system" attributes. You can see them via Configuration - Options - Display - Show hidden files and system files.

To use them offline, either launch them with ENTER, or right click - make available offline.

My configuration is since years like this.

But suddenly I see that the link to "OneDrive" is situated in my "*:/users/MyName/OneDrive" directory.

Tnx

Though it may be obvious to most but I figure I'd add to this thread for posterity:

Toggling H and S does not change the online state of the file (if you were curious).

The "right-click" (to make available) applies only out of TC (ie, in Explorer).

Launching from TC works fine (with constraints) but this method assumes there's a registered handler. Without the handler, there's no functional open so the file doesn't become available.

So it seems like TC's Onedrive plugin might be the best approach for file access and manipulation.
