"copy public link" in dropbox in context menu does

"copy public link" in dropbox in context menu does not work in windows 7 (German), though it works in explorer. Dropbox icon does not show either though I acticated it.

This worked for me, just tried it with Windows 7 (German) with 32-bit and 64-bit TC. It is labeled differently, though: "Dropbox-Link freigeben". It takes a few seconds, then Dropbox shows in the tray that it has shared the file, and made the link available in the clipboard.

I have similar problem, suddenly complete dissapeared context menu "copy public link". Is there any way how to manually resolve this issue (i do not know how I deleted it) ?

Sounds like some missing registry entries. Maybe re-installing the Dropbox software will help?

I have the same problem but in Windows 8.1.

I installed Dropbox software just before to try the "copy public link".

In Windows 7 the feature works without problems.

May be this helps: when I try as administrator, "copy public link" is missing (for total commander and for explorer).

When I try as user, "copy public link" works, with total commander and with explorer.

As ghisler wrote, it looks as a dropbox+windows problem.
