Extension no longer listed in their own colum?

Extension no longer listed in their own colum?

How can i get the extensions back into their own collum instead of them being glued to the filename(just upgraded from 7.5 to 8.5)

Configuration->Tabstops->Show file extensions->Aligned (with Tab)
It's impossible to lead us astray for we don't care even to choose the way.
