I'm probably asking something which has been asked before, but I can't find the answer.
Can someone describe what happens when a file or folder is copied to another place. What do the various "options" do or not do? I have tried to copy using "overwrite all older" but have gotten unexpected results.
If this has been answered, please point me to the answer's location.
Thanks

copying files
Does this mean that if the source has files which are not in the target folder, these files will not be copied to the target?
Also, will the target folder's date be changed to today's date?

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Well. this depends on you and your settings. Also, will the target folder's date be changed to today's date?
Choose "Configuration - Options - Copy/Delete"
At the bottom of the right side, there is an option: "Copy date/time of directories"
Enable it if you want to keep the date.
Disable it if you want the date be changed to today's date.
