Forum cockies problem

Post by *Hurdet »

I often get this error:
This forum uses cookies to store sessions and the reading progress. Do NOT login if you do not agree with that!
Then I have to delete cockies and I can relogin.
You can avoid this?

Hello, hurdet.

This is no error message, it is merely a piece of information. There seems to be some European law requesting websites that use cookies to tell the users that they do so.
I see this message everytime I login to the forum, because my browser throws away all cookies on shutdown.

Kind regards,
Karl

The problem not is the message but the fact that often are not in conditions of login until delete the coockies, which however are enabled.

Confirm! Can't login untill I delete ALL old cookies.
There was no such bug before (e.g. 1-2 month before)!

I was previously unable to login with FF 14 or Chrome (though IE worked!). I had to delete all cookies in order to login--very annoying.

I had the same problem with chrome, added a setting to erase the cookie when chrome closes, solved instantly so i removed that setting (i like cookie and auto login) but then a few days later it was back to unable to login.
No problems with other websites though.

Hi,

FF v15 - problem, can't login
IE v9 - no problem, logged
W 7 SP1 x64

Appeared 1-2 week ago.
The best solution:
1. format C:
2. install TotalCmd
3. install Windows (optionally)

So far the only solution seems to be to delete the cookies from ghisler.ch when this happens. Unfortunately I couldn't find out the condition which causes this problem. It hasn't happened here again in any browser.

Sorry about the junk cost...
I'm just checking if the cookie problems are still going to hang me up...
Just ignore.
