Address bar and RTL language

Post by *duduedri96 »

Hi there,
When I use Total Commander I usually work with files and folders in Hebrew, which is an RTL language. I have noticed a weird behavior of the address bar with folders' names written in Hebrew. First of all, the order of the folders in the Address bar is reversed. But the most important problem is shown in the image below.
I created an image to demonstrate everything, so the explanation is shown in this image (I chose to do so in an image so everyone could see the Hebrew letters):

So, what could it be?
Thanks!

Edit: I'm running Win 7 Ultimate x64. This problem appears only on TC x64. It doesn't appear on TC 32-bit version!

It seems to be a problem with breadcrumb view. You can turn this off in Configuration - Options - Layout.

Thank you for your response,
Actually I like using these clickable parts. Will you be working on a solution to this problem on RTL languages?

Thanks!

I noticed duduedri96 did not responded on the result of turning off breadcrumb.
So I checked the issue myself and switching off breadcrumb did not resolved the problem. The Hebrew folders still appear revered.

Code: Select all

So you see the order of the folders in the address bar as it should be? And what about the clickable parts?

TC 8.51a x64 with Win 7 Ultimate x64.

A huge finding: this problem doesn't appear on TC 32 bit!

I can reproduce that too, thanks! I will try to port the 32-bit code to 64-bit.

Hi Christian, I'm wondering when this bug will be fixed. Is there any update?

Huge thanks.

It has been fixed and will be in the next version. I cannot say yet when the beta test for it will start.
