Tribute to Mr. Ghisler & and his amazing Total Commander
Hi, everyone!
I've been using Total Commander, known as Windows Commander at that time, since 1996.
It's my favorite for 19 years now!
I don't know why I didn't bought any license at that time, but it is more than professional tool. Easy to do evrything, easy to read on monitor, friendly colors... Yes! It has everything!
Of-course, Mr.Ghisler have done a perfect file manager(more than that actually).
I really would appreciate a license and was about to buy it now, but my encourage died when I saw the price - 44$
Mr.Ghislers work on TC is worth it, for all the job he does, but I will still use best software ever as shareware.
Thank you!

I think it's worth way more than twice how much the license is. And that's coming from a broke guy like me. These days, I need to work 3 days to get $US44.
Might even buy one more license (even if I already have one) just to thank him, come Christmas this year. Will probably gift it to a friend.
Honestly, TC is the perfect example of "money well spent".

You know that this is a one-time investment, don't you? All future updates are free. So you pay once and can use a registered TC forever (unless Ghisler makes a change here). This is different from other file managers where you have to pay for an update/upgrade.
I bought TC back in 2004, and I must say that it was the best investment in software I've ever made. However, I have to admit that I paid only 28 EUR, which was much less than the $44 it is today. But it's still worth it!

So only $2,32 per year is to much for your favorite file manager.Zyber wrote:Hi, everyone!

I hope you don't go out for a drink more than once a year because your favorite drink will cost the same (unless it is water).
But indeed the price has gone up since I ordered my license in 2005 (I had been using it as shareware since 1996 also) . I paid 32 euro while now I have to pay 42 euro.
