TC hangs when reading Windows Phone's "camera roll"

I have about 2.600 files (7 GB) in my camera roll on my Lumia 930. Total commander 64-bit hangs and displays an hourglass forever (currently waiting to unfreeze for 2 hours). File Explorer (Win 8.1) displays all files immediately. Why is this happening?

Unfortunately getting the file details like size and time is very inefficient with the official API. Explorer seems to use some inofficial backdoor which is much faster, but not available to oher programs.

What you can try is to turn off the display of these details:

Please add the following string to the file wincmd.ini, section [Configuration]:
virtualFolderDetails=0

You can edit the wincmd.ini via Configuration - Change settings files directly.
