new feature ? Alt + (any key) = search dongle

Post by *Molecule »

Was using TC 7 (7.57?) in XP pro sp3. Finally upgraded to current 851.

In 757, for many commands from keyboard, I hold Alt-key and selected key, at the same time = the old Alt+key scenario.

Now, I have to press Alt, then release Alt, then F, or whatever. Otherwise this little dongle pops up at the bottom. (?-Probably something to do with TC having to switch between tablet and desktop senarios?)

Is there a way for desktop XP user to turn off the dongle in 8, and revert back to the old Alt+key, like in 7? I didn't see anything in config.

Thanks

Great program as always.

Configuration->Quick Search?
It's impossible to lead us astray for we don't care even to choose the way.

Indeed you must have configured Alt+Letters for quick search. I recommend Ctrl+Alt+Letters or "Letters - with search dialog" if you rarely use the command line.
