How to manage files on a Camera, conn. via USB

Post by *Georgemas »

Is there any way in TC to manage files on a camera connected via the USB.

Expolorer allows it, but is very restricted in what it can do with the files.

You should see your camera in the Computer "drive" in TC which can be found in the drive list (Alt+F1 or Alt+F2).

Try this plugin: https://plugins.ghisler.com/fsplugins/wpdplug.zip

Even though it says it is for "Media Audio" it works fine for accessing files on cameras and smartphones.

You can also use the command cm_OpenDrives - most cameras will show up here when connected via USB - but you have limited functionality - you cannot for example view files (F3) from there.

Thanks Dalai, but that doesn't work: Alt-F1 and Alt-F2 are assigned to something else in Autohotkey.

But see below.

I found it in the drives dropdown 'Computer Drives Overview', but that is built on Explorer and has the same restrictions.

However, selecting 'Open' in fact gets me to my photo viewer (Irfan View).

I'll try the plugin.

Thanks to all who responded.
