disable parent dir [..] globally

this suggestion has been mentions several times in history.
I have to suggest it again as a new big version is coming,
and with the breadcrumb bar the parent dir can be replaced.

Please give such option to display efficiently and consistently, as if it is inconsistent when switch between dir and root with disabling parent dir in root.

It seems that Microsoft had the same dumb thought when they removed 'Up' button from Explorer toolbar... However much greater dumb thing was changing Backspace binding to stupid 'History Back' action instead of level up.

microsoft is dumb because there is no choice.
this suggestion isn't as it should be an option.

and the most important thing is: make it consistent both on and off
