HideRemovableNoMedia parameters

Post by *tcebob »

First, a belated thanks to TS4242 for advising me to use "HideRemovableNoMedia=3" in the .ini file Last September. It works.

Where can I find a list of parameters? I know there are at least 7, but I can't find any descriptions.

Help -> 4. Configuration and switches -> b. INI-file settings: -> wincmd.ini:
HideRemovableNoMedia=0
When !=0, removable drives like USB card readers will not be shown unless a medium is inserted. Note that CD-ROM drives and floppy disk drives will always be shown. Apply to:
1: Drive button bar
2: Drive dropdown list
4: Search function - Drives
7: All
This function may be very slow with certain drives, so turn it off if you notice any slowdown.
You add up the values, so HideRemovableNoMedia=3 means hide in both "Drive button bar" and "Drive dropdown list", and HideRemovableNoMedia=5 means hide in both "Drive button bar" and "Search function - Drives" etc.

Also you can use Configuration Editor where you can find all TC settings and their description.

Thanks Petermad and ts4242. I have installed Ultra TC Editors and will use Configuration Editor today.
