Hi guys
It had taken me all these years to join this forum after having use TC in good old DOS years with 8088 Pc.
I have a Samsung GT19082 or Grand, win7 will recognise it as device and will show the two folders card & mobile. HOWEVER TC can't see it.
In xpwin and using the older samsung after doing the manual connection options, it will appear in TC as a drive.
How can i make TC show the folders for the newer Samsungs. I think it can be done since win7 already shows it. Is there a plug-in? Appreciate help to make TC my most used application.
Connect to PC using cable - win7

This isn't Total Commander's fault, but depends on the device - there are devices which are connected without a drive letter, as a media player.
To see them in Total Commander, you need to click on the small triangle to the left of the current path, then click on "My Computer" and then on the device name.

Thanks ghisler, finally met the person behind it all. With all the plug-in plus the fantastic connectivity, your product is the best.
I just wanted to use TC to view the contents in the mobile and not win.explorer because old habits die hard. Never knew that the little triangle role until now. Kind Regards.

Just found that the files in the mobile shown from MyPc does not show its extension. Is there a way to fix this?
PS: Just found out the icon do reflect the extension and TC can execute the file with the right Applet. If i am right, it is because for some reason TC don't work with the mobile to show long file names in it, just display the truncated string. If the name plus extension is short, it will show it fully.
Hope you have any advice to enhance this interface, asking too much!. Cheers!

Yes, it's a Windows misfeature. Please open Explorer.exe, press Alt to see the main menu, then open the "Folder options". On the second tab, you need to disable the option to hide extensions of known file types.
