Windows 10: impossible to write the Wincimd.ini

Hi folks i need an help:
I am using Windows 10 and TC and have two problems.

1) every time i have to modify a parameter that it is enclosed in the
Wincmd.ini file, for example changing the language, when i choose OK after have selected the Language in the configurations option, i get an error that says it is impossible to write the Wincimd.ini as it is write protected and ask me to remove the write protection.
Please how to avoid the inconvenience?

2) I would like to put on the Bar, a comand that when i click on it. it has to open a determinate folder.For example i have structured my Documents folder like:
B:\Enzo\Documents.
I have tried to put the comand like as above but when i run the comand, instead to change the folder to documents, it opens the folder Documents, but opening the Windows explorer.
I do not want to open the folder trough the Windows Explorer but just to jump in that folder inside TC.
Any idea?

Install TC normally and use the default location for the settings files during setup. The default location is %AppData%\Ghisler on Vista and higher (which is where the user has write permissions).

I'm wondering why this question pops up so often. Are there so many users out there who change the location or is there some bug/error in the setup routine?

Put a "cd " in front of the path. You can also use the directory hotlist (Ctrl+D) to store your favorite (often needed) folders.

I guess people just move the TC folder containing .ini files to the new system, instead of installing it from scratch.

That doesn't really explain it. Moving/copying the TC folder (including the .ini files) doesn't create registry settings that tell TC where to look for the settings files. So TC assumes default locations - which is a writable location (%AppData%\Ghisler) on Vista and higher. The only exception from this would be UseIniInProgramDir setting in wincmd.ini.

2Dalai That's the exact scenario. I had the same issue while moving tc to win7. Solved it with setting full access to the folder.
UseIniInProgramDir=7 was a very desired feature a long time ago.
