Sort by Creation Date does NOT sort file folder

I have an application/program that saves files into new folders, so when I go the main folder, I often would love to sort the entries by creationdate, which I have enabled, but it ONLY sorts the files, not the folders.

So, is is possible to sort the FOLDER by creation date? If not, I would like to request this as feature in a up comming release

Well, TC always sorts by modification date, unless you use custom columns.

Sorting dirs by modification date is already possible.
So does
Configuration -> Display -> Sorting directories -> Like files
help for your task?

Otherwise create a custom column view.
(use the creation date fields from the TC internal content plug-in)
