Lately I have noticed that TC hangs when I try to open the 'Connect to ftp server' dialog. Opening a folder in the dialog is also painfully slow. I looked in to it and found out that the saved passwords are to blame.
I have 11 connection saved in the wcx_ftp.ini file. All distributed in 4 folders. Each connection has a password saved in the file.
When I manually remove all the 'password=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX' lines from the file, restart TC and click on the toolbar's FTP button (cm_FtpConnect) the 'Connect to ftp server' dialog loads immediately.
Can anyone explain that?
Or have a solution?
I am using TC 8.52a 64bit on Windows 7 Professional
The wcx_ftp.ini is located in 'c:\Program Files\TotalCommander'
Slow when opening the 'Connect to ftp server' dialog

Hmm, I have 59 saved connections in 3 folders and root, and I have no such problem, so your problem is not necessarily a TC problem.
