[Solved] Compare Android DCIM folder to local PC folder

Post by *Mjolnir »

Happy new year !

I may have missed something, but got problem comparing Android folder with a local PC folder.
Here the point: I use to copy from time to time photos from my Android mobile phone to a backup file/folder on my PC, but this copy under TC is performed on Name/size and Date... and the date is problematic to me...

( Note: My mobile phone is connected via USB (MTP), and accessed thru TC : (Computer)\\<my device>\internal memory\DCIM\Camera )

So, when I perform a "Compare directory" command under TC, seems the comparison is peformed on file names and dates... and any file previously copied, is highlighted in red... I'd like to compare only by name & size, but NOT by date...

Under TC, I cannot use the "Synchronize Dir" as it is not compatible with such "view".

Any idea on how-to ?

Regards,

Try the Windows Media Audio 2 file system plugin (direct download / website).

OK, thx for advice, I'll try !

Edit: unfortunatly, after using plugin, got same problem, seems the file date is still used for comparison

Use the file-system plugin and "synchronize directories" where you can disable the date compare ("ignore date") and even try to copy the timestamps from one side to the other (context menu "Copy file properties...")

I apologize for having to ask what is "the file-system plugin?"
